I have already submitted a Jira access request and project lead has granted me admin-level permissions; nevertheless, I am still unable to access the project and therefore cannot view or modify any of its contents. Could you kindly advise on the appropriate steps to resolve this issue?
Hi, @KE YUE LIU
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
You're seeing the message "You need to be a Service Desk Agent" because you're trying to access a Jira Service Management (JSM) project.
Access to JSM is separate from standard Jira (Software or Core) access. To view or work in a JSM project, you need to be granted Jira Service Management application access.
This is typically done by adding your user to a specific group — most commonly:jira-servicedesk-users
(or a custom group with JSM agent permissions)
Please contact your Jira administrator to assign you Jira Service Management access, (add you to the appropriate group (e.g., jira-servicedesk-users
))
Once that’s done, you’ll be able to access the service desk project and its features.

As per the attachment i can see you are uing the Jira DC. If you are not able to access the jira issues from the project then you need to contact to your jira administrator to check the project permission and grant you a Browse project issue permission.
Thank you

as its a Jira service desk project, please ask your admin to grant you a JSD license and check whether you are a part of Service desk team project role or not.
