Portfolio Custom Field Names are strange

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Installed Portfolio and in Issues=>Fields=>Custom Fields I get a few that have names that are long and strange. Also they are locked. Is this expected behavior?
