Plugin Recommendation for Advanced Document Export, TGNG/Xray Integration, Workflow Post Functions

Hi Community,

We are looking for a Jira Cloud plugin that can support the following requirements:

1. Export Jira issue data to multiple formats, including:

   • DOCX
   • PDF
   • Excel
   • Other commonly used document formats

2. Integrate seamlessly with:

   • Table Grid Next Generation (TGNG)
   • Xray Test Management

   The solution should be able to export data from these apps along with standard Jira issue fields.

3. Support workflow automation capabilities, including:

   • Workflow post functions
   • Automatic document generation during workflow transitions
   • Sending generated documents to attachments or external systems

4. Support Jira Automation integration, such as:

   • Triggering exports from Automation Rules
   • Executing actions based on issue transitions, field updates, or scheduled events
   • Passing issue data dynamically into export templates

We would appreciate recommendations from anyone who has implemented a similar solution in Jira Cloud.

Specifically, we would like to know:

• Which plugins support all of the above requirements?
• How well do they work with TGNG and Xray data?
• Are there any limitations related to workflow post functions or Jira Automation?

Any suggestions, best practices, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

You could maaaybe explore this one: Xporter - Export issues from Jira to PDF, Word, Excel 
I've played with it once and it looked quite robust for multiple-version exports and I do believe it supports export/integration with Xray. 👀

Still, I'd recommend to POC it first to see how well it goes.

What you could potentially also explore is this: Build custom Forge apps in Rovo Studio - no code required! You could also try building your own solution, but I'm assuming it will take time, and there's no guarantee it will work. 🤔
