Questions being answers by people trying to sell their add-ons should not exist. It is extremely irritating to get 100's of sales pitches when you want an answer to a question. If we wanted an add-on we would go to the marketplace.
Hi @SB
First thing, I am not an Atlassian or marketplace vendor employee. I'm just another customer using the products and participating in the community. With that out of the way...
It seems you are making a statement of opinion, but posting this as a question. Did you have a question?
And I agree: it can be frustrating when vendors quickly post "sales pitches" rather than trying to answer the question as it was asked. Vendor marketplace apps help fill many gaps in Atlassian products, vendors participate in the community, and so it makes sense when they try to help with something that is not possible with built-in features. In my opinion, it does not help when they assume everything needs their product to solve it...often caused by the vendor poster's lack of Atlassian tool knowledge.
I have noted some people who ask questions put text in their question when they are not interested in addons from the marketplace. Perhaps try doing that to reduce the unsolicited offers.
Another tip: consider reading the community guidelines for marketplace partners to help call them out on any misbehavior using "Report to moderators". Here is the info: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/App-Central-articles/Atlassian-Partners-Rules-of-Engagement/ba-p/2899328
Thanks, and kind regards,
Bill
