Permissions Scheme editing interface only showing 20 of 58 groups

I'm editing the default permission scheme, shared by 8 projects.

I chose to edit the 'manage sprints' permission and get the Grant Permission modal

I select the 'Groups' radio button and get a combo selector where it says that it's showing 20 of 58 groups. The group I want to add is called 'Release Managers', but it's not high enough in the alphabet to be one of the 20 that's shown in the dropdown.

When I type Release, or any subset of that, the list filters down to no groups. So I can't add my group.

Am I misunderstanding this combo selector?

Hello Alex,

This is indeed an odd behavior, as when you start to enter the group name it should show the groups with the name that you've entered, regardless how many groups do you have and the alphabetical order.

Also, would you know if this occurs only to you or does it happen to anyone who tries to browse for this group? Is it happening only for this particular group as well?

If everyone is having this issue, my suspicion is that this group might have trailing or leading whitespaces which might be causing this problem. You can check this opening the group in the User Management page and opening the group, then check the URL after the 'groupname=' will have the group name.
Note that the spaces in the groupname are replaced by %20, this means that 'Release Managers' would become 'Release%20Managers', so if you see a %20 at the beginning of the groupname or at its name, this means that there is a whitespace there that could then be causing this problem.

Let me know if this helps in your case.
If you have any other question, just let me know!

Thanks,
Francisco Oselame.

Pretty strangely, this function is now working fine.

I had tried to do this multiple times over a couple of days, and was getting consistently the same behavior. This morning, with a follow up on this board, as well as via customer support, I tried again and the combo box is working exactly as it should. No quirks of spaces or anything like that.

Perhaps some javascript quirk where info got cached in my browser? I dunno. At any rate, thanks for your response, Francisco!
