Paste Screenshots in issues ONLY without having them listed in the attachments?

Hi all,

My teams have recently moved from Azure Devops to Jira and keep coming back that they dislike the fact that screenshots that are pasted in description or comment sections are also listed in the attachments overview. This was not the case in Devops. Personally i think it is a very minor "downgrade"  but i get some slack for it. Is there any way to change this behaviour for screenshots only?

i'm afraid not. Images that you paste directly in a description field will simply be added as an attachment (in the general list) and then internally linked in the description field.

You can always raise a support request for the desired behaviour (https://support.atlassian.com/contact) and have them raise a feature suggestion for it.
