Parent Issue Type

Hi,

We have created a subtask issue type which should only be created for a specific parent issue type. But since users don't know they create subtask type issues type for any parent issue type.

I checked in the conditions validator but didn't find a way to control this when the subtask issue type is created.

Please help.

Regards

Deepak Bhatia

Another solution would be EXOCET. There you can define from which project, issuetype and status you want to be able to create a linked Issue (subtask and regular issuetypes).

Hey there, Deepak.

Can you check whether the following plugin might be able to cater for the requirement that you are seeking for?

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.jira.cot

As far as I am concerned, the standard JIRA workflow conditions and validators do not have the ability of creating sub-tasks referring to only a specific parent issue type.

Warm regards,

Danial
