Original Estimate won't display in screens

Brenda Strong May 13, 2025

I have a company managed project and I've added Time Tracking and Original Estimate fields to the default screens for my project. I've also checked permissions for Time Tracking and it is enabled. But whenever I open an issue it is not displayed. In another project I have that is Team Managed, the Original Estimate field shows up fine. What do I need to do to make this work? We want to use this for Velocity Chart.

support.atlassian.com This is definitely a bug. Can I please get a support ticket created @atlassian-qe ? I have done everything possible to get the original estimate to show up in the screens and it's just not there. We really need this to work.

Hi @Brenda Strong

I'd check the custom field context to make sure it's included in the project(s) you want it in.  It's possible the field is limited to other projects.

It's not a custom field though. Is there a place to turn on time tracking? It's not in Project Settings --> Features. I've already added Time Tracking and Original Estimate fields to the default screens and they just don't show up in the issue page.

I found that I already have Time Tracking enabled also.
