Open mode, but User can't register

Hi

My jira user directory used crowd.

And I had setted "mode" OPEN, but I can't register the user from the sign up.

So the user can't register and must ask me to sign-up him.

Before we used crowd the user can register...

Why, could you help me?

Before you used crowd you used JIRA as an identity store for users, its read/write to JIRA. Crowd may not be writable, eg, your backing store may be LDAP which is usually readonly.

Is your new user 'in' the repository as a user already or is he remote? Perhaps if you setup an internal user repository and (IIRC) order it first, then it can allow user creation and work as you expect?
