Only synchronize certain groups like "confluence-users" across to database confluence makes use of.

I know this feature request was logged and declined, but this was 7 years ago. 

 

Does anyone know of any way to restrict the synchronization to only a certain group like the subject suggests? We are currently synchronizing ALL users from our jira user directory. 

 

Running latest jira-server and confluence. 

 

Reason I would like to do this, the DB is a mess with useless information about customers that make use of our servicedesk. 

 

Has anyone been able to do this?

Hi @Johan 

This is not yet possible. One way to achieve this is to use an external directory ( LDAP, AD ). You will then be able to use LDAP filters to sync only the desired users & groups :
