Only login to one System works for JIRA, Confluence and Stash on the same Server

We installed JIRA, Confluence and Stash on the same windows Machine. All works fine but when I am logged in into more than one system in the same Browser things start getting weird:

  • I get continuously asked to login again
  • Some action like JIRA batch operation never get executed

It seems like the logins are overriding themselves. I doubt that this is a common behavior, but is this a common problem? How can we get around this?

It usually happens when you have the same url, with just the port different. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/User+is+Constantly+Logged+out+of+JIRA

Either define a new proxyName for each app or use a context path for each.

Changing the session key of JIRA and Confluence fixed it for us.
