On deleting an epic, will stories underneath get deleted as well

I need to just delete the epic and not the stories underneath. If I delete the Epic will the stories underneath get deleted as well ?
If yes what is the option to safely delete just the epic and not the stories underneath?

Please advise.

Hi @Karthiga Sethuraj,

When you delete an Epic in Jira, only the Epic will be deleted. The Stories linked to the Epic will not be deleted.
