Observing some delay while selecting the single dropdown for the custom plugin?

Novita Chelluri April 5, 2023

Hi All,

We have created Custom plugin where we are selecting some values through single select dropdown. It was working fine for Jira Version 8.X, but now for the version 9.4.3 we are getting a lag on UI for some projects.

Upon checking in console, we could only find the click handler violations which are coming from another plugin. Upon disabling that plugin, we do not get any lag.

There are some projects which do not have any association with plugin which we are disabling. And yet those projects also start working fine after disabling the plugin.

Can anyone please suggest why this issue would be happening? Any insights would be appreciated.

Regards,

Well, you identified suspected handler(s) from a plugin. So that really sounds more of a question to that plugin's vendor to clarify what they are doing. I assume the javascript behind the handler will be minimized so diving into it to figure out what it does would be pain. The vendor should, if they are implementing some generic handlers, be able to clarify what they are doing and where that delay is coming from.
