Hello @Patty Margerum
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
There is not a limit to the number of subtasks you can create under a work item.
However, if you are creating a large number of subtasks, that may not be very usable for your end users. It can also result in it taking longer to display the parent issue.
There is a limit that no more than 500 child issues can be displayed when viewing a parent issue.
Thanks - I'm only up to 16 and need to add maybe 10 more. I'm not getting an error, but it just doesn't create when I end my info and click Create.

Can you provide a video clip that illustrates the steps you are executing and the results?
How do you know the subtask is not being created?
Have you tried creating as many subtasks on another issue in the same project? Have you tried with an issue in another project?
Do other users encounter the same problem?

The issue appears to have corrected itself. Last week, I could click Add and then Submit, but nothing occurred. The subtask was not created. No error was returned. Today I tried the same and it successfully created another subtask.
