I am creating tickets and assigned people to them and they are getting the emails notifications but when i assigned myself , i am not getting those emails ?

Hi Jacques - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Click on your avatar (or initials) in the upper right hand side, and choose Personal Settings.

Then check the box that says You makes changes to the issue
