Not able to see date and time on Resolved field on view screen

Deleted user July 29, 2020

When issue type "defect" moves from in progress to Done, resolution is getting update with Done, but on view screen Resolved field is not showing with Date and Time. I am going to share screen shot with this question.

In same project, user has story issue type with same workflow but resolved field getting update with Date and time.

Can you please guide me on this.

Thank you

Hi @[deleted]

You mentioned a screenshot - could you share one of the Task and the Story? Could you also share what hosting type you are using (Cloud, Server or Data Center)?

Have you tried reopening and re-closing the Defect?

Thank you for reaching out.

It is hosting on server. As you can see on above screenshot when issue moved into DONE status, User still getting JUST NOW option on Resolved field. I have tried opening new defect issue type on his board, but same result as you see on above screenshot.

Also, In this project has Story and other issue type, but on those issue type, when we move issue type from In progress to Done status, Resolved field is getting Date and time stamp.

Hi @[deleted]

It will move to "Just now" when it's first set (when issue is resolved) - then usually rotates through a series of "X minutes / X hours ago" before changing to a date/time stamp.

If you hover over the "Just now" it should provide the date/time stamp this issue was resolved within.

Or are you saying it gets stuck in "Just now" and doesn't change even days later?

when issue moved to Done, user is getting Just now value on resolved field. also, User is getting date and time when hover over Just now.

Do you know how long it will take to date and time to be show up there in resolved field instead of Just Now.

Thank you

Hi @[deleted]

It should cycle through to "2 minutes ago" after a couple of minutes.

It then goes through a set of "minutes / hours / days ago" for ~1 week - I'm not sure on the exact timeframe, its based off what I see in our instance.

Whether it's possible to change will depend on your hosting type:

  • Server/DC: This has been suggested and closed as "Won't Do" under JRASERVER-41506. There is a workaround which you can view on this page.
  • Cloud (Classic View): Not possible at this stage but see JRACLOUD-41506 (albeit it's currently not being considered)
  • Cloud (New View): You can click on the date in the new view and it will alternate between absolute and relative.

even today resolved field value showing up as Yesterday, so i am going to discuss with my team and make this changes to workaround to it.

I will keep you updated

Thank you so much for your help.
