Not able to attach type of any file in JIRA

Hello, One of our requirement in project is attachments. I am not able to attach excel or word file in JIRA. We tried IE, Chrome and Firefox. Permissions are set correctly but still once attachments are added we cannot see in the next transition. This is basic for any tool any help is appreciated. I am using cloud version.

I don't understand "we cannot see in the next transition".  Can you check the plain issue view - does it have an attachments section?

When we create an attachment in the issue and change the phase of the issue in Jira, we are not able to see the attachment in the next phase. All the users have access to create the attachment.
