Not able to assign new screen in edit workflow

Hi, 

I have created a custom workflow without transition screen for initial workflow testing. After testing, I would like to include screen into the transition,  but when clicked on Edit button, it only allows me changing the Step Name and not allow to add screen.

Refer to 7.6 Jira Software, this suppose to works but not the current version of Jira software?

Please assist. Thanks

Hi @SD Admin,

Select the transition on which you want to add the screen and double click on it.

It will display a pop-up and then select the screen which you want to add then click on Save.

I don't have a screen in place initially, when i clicked edit, no screen option available.

While seeing the screenshot, i think you did something wrong here....If you don't have screen initially still you need to double click/click Edit button on the transition then only you will be able to see the screen option

Logically, it should behave as you mentioned but that is missing from my page....:( I've raised support ticket for this... Thanks

Hi @SD Admin,

Actually, you need to select workflow as a Design mode but not as a Text mode.

Please select the workflow in Design mode and then try to edit the transition definitely you will get the option to add the screen.

It still looks the same without screen select in diagram mode.

In the text list of step and status, you need to click on the transition name to open the popup where you set the transition screen.

Found it! :) I clicked on the wrong object. Should click on the transition. Many thanks!
