No project section

Hi, I was waching Youtube re Jira setup. Found out that there can be custom backgrounds and the narrator showed he selected "Project" section (with a rocket symbol) and then went to change background... What I understood - I don't have PROJECT section at all (with a rocket symbol) even though I have all permissions. How to fix it?

Hi @Shyrin Ismailov 

This can be done, by pressing the 3 dot option next to the space name.

But it only works for projects create in the last Q of this year (if I remember correct), as this GUI change was implemented then.

Projects/Spaces created before this Q won't have this option

Projects have been renamed to spaces.

So this option is not at Spaces.

It is probably outdated.

There has been a terminology change. The term Projects has been replaced with Spaces.

Sure, please, view. Video is few months old on youtube. Were projects removed? and how to upload custom background? I only can choose few colors.

What kind of Space are you trying to change? Can you show us what you see when you click the ... next to a Space name in the panel on the left? 

I believe this will be available only for Software spaces (both Team- and Company-managed). Business spaces already have a separate feature for changing the project background, and it appears to be found in a separate location:

And the feature does not appear to be available at all for Service spaces.

I see. So you have the option to set a background color but not to use a custom image. In all the instances I have access to I have only seen color as an option.

According to the weekly blog for updates the feature is still rolling out. So I would guess that it has not yet arrived in your environment.

Did they say the functionality was available to everybody, or did they say it was coming soon?
