No login methods supported!

Despite all the suggestions here [1] and here [2] I am still getting this error.

I have select SECURE_IMAP as the protocol and tcpdump show that it really connects to port 993 of the imap server. I have checked with SSLPoke that the SSL connection works, certificates are OK.

In [1] it is suggested that the message only shows up when you try to connect to non-SSL. But that is not try. I already have option 1, I'm using SSL.
