No Epic link in Story creation (Scrum Project managed by team)

Hi,

When I click on create, I don't have the epic link fields (I have epic in the project)

In creation issue screen/manage fields, I don't have Epic link fields

It is the same for bug and task

However, I can link a story to a epic by creating the story in the backlog then cliking on it then add epic in top of the issue details right panel

What's wrong?
It is so annoying to have to create story then go to details to associate to an epic

Hello @biboc 

It appears that you are working with a Team Managed project.

With Team Managed projects it is the Parent field rather than the Epic Link field that is used in issues to identify their parent Epic. That is why the Epic Link field is not present.

Also in Team Managed projects, they do not support editing that field directly in the issues. The two ways to add a child issue to an Epic are the method that you found or while viewing the Epic details select the Add Child Issues option.
