Next Jira Server LTS Release

Does anyone know - or have a hunch - when the next Jira Server LTS will be released?

We're still on LTS 8.5 and upgrading to the current latest LTS 8.13 doesn't make much sense, as it was released in October last year.

I believe 8.20 is slated as the next LTS. Given 8.19 is in EAP (https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download-eap), and the version before is a hardening release (squish those bugs!), I’d be looking towards Q4 for a release.

8.5 to 8.20 is going to be a big jump! I’d suggest keeping an eye on the EAP releases and start testing on a non-prod environment once 8.20 releases start to show.

currently only offers 8.20.1.

Update check in Jira Server allows selecting 8.20.2.
It says essential plugins like Advanced Roadmaps are incompatible.

We evaluate as you whether to update from 8.5 LTS to 8.13 LTS or 8.20.x LTS

Hey David,

Advanced Roadmaps is bundled with new 8.20.x LTS, so all good here. 

Context: update check compares version with MarketPlace, which is old and not compatible with recent Jira.
