Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new here and would love some guidance from people who've walked this path.
One of my teammates recently became an Atlassian Champion, and honestly, it really motivated me. Seeing their journey made me want to be the next one, and I'm eager to start on the right foot.
So I'd love to hear from two groups:
For those who are already Atlassian Champions: how did you get there? What did you focus on, and is there anything you wish you'd known when you started?
For those still working toward it: what are you doing right now, and what advice would you give to someone just beginning?
I'm ready to put in the effort, I just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction from the start. Any tips, resources, or personal experiences would mean a lot.
Thank you in advance
Hello @Said Bennaceur
So now for me. I applied myself, but the key to everything in life is to find your own way. When you look across forums, social media, YouTube, and LinkedIn, you notice champions contributing in very different ways.
Most important is that you find what your strength is and just use it.
Don't hear anybody saying there's only one proper way. No. There's not.
Just be yourself. Be authentic. If that's enough, people will see you.
Best,
Arek🤠
Hi @Said Bennaceur ,
On top of what Marc shared, here's this forum's article: Welcome to your Atlassian Community journey!
In my case, I didn't actually apply to be a champion; instead, someone from the forums team reached out to me and asked if I'd like to apply. That said, I was relatively active on the forums over the past 3 to 6 months. 🌐
It would really depend on which Champions track you're aiming to pursue (online, events, Success Champion, Creators), as each track/type requires different criteria. More on that can be found in FAQs section in the link shared by Marc.
I'd also advise browsing forums for similar questions or discussions such as this What should I focus on next to move from Rising Star to Atlassian Community Champion? or similar posts.
Cheers (and good luck!),
Tobi
