New to Jira - How do I create a basic project and assign tasks?

I'm new to using JIra, and I'm trying to do some basic things like setting up a new project  with my team and assigning tasks, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it right.

I’d really appreciate if someone can guide me through the basic steps or share a link to a beginner-friendly tutorial.
