New UI - unable to select "turn off" or to change

Since today the UI changed for our Jira Servicedesk application.
As I open a queue or project, I always have to click the "Back to Project" instead that all the needed options are shown by default.
Now the bar at the left is 5 time te size it was before, and less functional then before.
Can this be changed so all is shown on 1 small bar with all the needed options on 1 screen instead of clicking in between the options in the bar.
How it was before was easier and more user friendly + fewer clicks to arrive at the needed menu - item.

Productivity is dropping because of this change that looks like it can't be undone...
Can you inform us how we can ge our old view back?

I am seeing the change as well. I expect it can’t be reverted but if I find a way will update. I do prefer the collapse menu bar at the top now better than middle. I don’t quite understand you arrow. For me there have been two vertical bars for a long time (blue for instance functions and grey for project specific). I noted the following help topic on the recent change

Hey Jack,

the arrow is to show that all the info that is now shown in de new UI was in 1 sidebar before the change.
As you mention, there were 2 vertical bars, but you could merge them into 1 to improve the use of it.

understood. are you saying it was like that until just recently? that would be odd because for me this change happened quite a long time ago. Regardless, you can't change that. if you want you can provide Atlassian feedback via the Give feedback link under your profile avatar.

Yes, for me it changed this morning, in the meantime everybody has the new UI...
