New Jira view slow - why?

Hi Atlassian community,


I'm experiencing massive issues with the new JIRA view in Chrome, IE 11, Firefox and Edge and the behavior is the same in the new view for all browsers.

Every time I make a comment in JIRA with the new view there is a massive delay from what I'm typing on the keyboard, but on the old view I get an immediate response to what I'm typing.

Are others experiencing similar issues? Is there some way to resolve it?

Welcome to Atlassian community.

The new issue view is still a lab feature, so our developers are still working to improve performance with its components.

We have a task opened to track the upgrades performed by our developers regarding performance improvement:

Slowness while loading the new Jira layout

Feel free to vote and watch the task to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

In fact, performance issues require a very specific troubleshoot process, with background analysis and access to the application logs. That been said, I recommend you to open an internal ticket with Atlassian support, so we can perform a deeper investigation on your instance and find possible occurrences that might be causing the slowness in each specific component of the new UI:

Hi,

Alright. Thanks for the info, I will watch the open task that you have created to monitor the progress of the situation.

I have created an internal ticket with our IT already but figured I would reach out to the community in case others are experiencing the same issues.
