New 'Issue Type' not getting created

Aravind Gopalakrishnan

I created a new issue type called 'Risk' and configured the screens, screen schemes and linked to the issue type schemes etc. When I try to create a new 'Risk' after entering the relevant field values, I get the message ' Summary: You must specify a summary of the issue' and it does not allow me to successfully create the 'Risk'. Could you let me know why this happens and steps to resolve this? Thanks in advance!

Hey @Aravind Gopalakrishnan,

basic question: So you did fill out the (only) important field Summary while creating the issue?

Best, Max

@Max Foerster - K15t - I just noticed from the 'Screens' that I had removed the 'Summary' field while configuring the screen initially as I thought I can use the 'Description' field. Once I added the 'Summary' field, I was able to see it getting created. Thanks!

Happy to hear that you figured it out yourself @Aravind Gopalakrishnan

I just wanted to make sure that you didn't miss it setting up the screens. Because that is definitely a classic thing to do. 😁
