New Automation Question: How do you create the HTML formatting as used in Legacy Automation?

When I create a new rule under the new Automation I am unable to replicate the nice look (HTML formatting) of the alerts/emails generated in Legacy Automation. I've added the smart tags but only get the plain text versions. I'd like the new automation rules to match that of the legacy automation rules.
