There was a new Asana update that granted the ability to embed images into the task body itself. However, when these tasks get imported to Jira from a rule, it breaks the embedded image and makes it a hyperlink instead of the image itself. I'm assuming since this is a new feature for Asana, that there might not be a fix for this just yet, but I'm wondering if there was just something I'm missing.
If you are using the Asana integration I would suggest checking with Asana. They are just using the Atlassian web service and might need to add something on their side to take full advantage of the services functionality. They might also be fine with just adding the link as this would be much easier to do then adding the attachment.
