Need to Restore Deleted information in Issues

Hi,

Someone Deleted the description in my issue how to restore that or how i would know the information which is deleted specially the description. History only gives the update it doesn't seem to have old description in it

 

Is there a way to get the deleted information

Old description should be visible in history.

You can see description changes in the History section of each issue. However, the formatting will be lost, so it isn't easy to copy & paste it.

My team has faced this problem too, so we've implemented the option to revert changes made to the description. It's available with Issue History for Jira app. 

Text formatting (bold, color, lists, tables) will be preserved. The only exception is attachments. As Jira does not store attachments after removal, you can only return the name of the removed file.

Hello,

By default, Jira does not track deleted issues, which are lost forever. To prevent it from happening again, for Jira Cloud you can try User Activity Audit Log.
