Need support for configuring automation of my jira project

Hello,

My project lead created a Jira software development project back in 2022. I don’t understand what’s going on in regards to development of my project. I understand that Jira is capable of giving clear picture or insight.

 Would like to set automation for the project so that I can the timely information, check the work log, software tool management information etc and etc.

Could you maybe explain your requirements a bit more? If we talk about automation, there are some out-of-the-box rules for integrations between Bitbucket, GitLab... > you can check the template library here: Jira automation templates for Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab 

Are there any particular expectations when it comes to 'work log' and other things you've mentioned here?

How does the process look like at the moment and in which part you'd like to incorporate automation to reduce manual work?
