Naming Conventions for Workflows, Schemes, Configurations, etc...

Hey Atlassian Community!

Beginner question here... 

Does anyone have some helpful guidelines or references on how to name Jira related workflows, schemes, etc... that won't drive an admin crazy later on in life?

Just trying to be proactive :)

Hi @Aileen 

For it's always helpful to start your workflows, schemes etc using the project key. If for example your project has the key of TRS, then I would name workflows as:

  • TRS: Task Workflow
  • TRS: Change Workflow etc

Usually i would also place a date on the end of the workflow to know when it was made e.g. 20220917
