I see (look at my name) that names with no printable characters are allowed in Bitbucket and JIRA (and probably also in other products). In some cases (eg. in JIRA dashboard) textual links with full name cannot be clicked since the have 0 length.

Is it intended simplification or a bug (names should have at least 1 printable character or there should be a fallback to username or something else which cannot have 0-length)?

Hello (&zwnj) :),

in my opinion, it is not a bug because at db level, your username has been stored with more than one character.

The problem is during html rendering phase where your name is &zwnj: that is a special character half-space. This character could be managed in different ways by different browser. So I think that Atlassian team can't take care for that.

Btw, it has been the weird question that I answered :D

Regards,

Fabio
