When I close my current sprint, I am no loner getting the option to move the incomplete stories to a future sprint but instead they all move to the backlog?

Hello Sanjeev,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

In order to choose if you would like to move issues from a completed Sprint to backlog or to the next Sprint, you must have already planned the next Sprint in the backlog view of your Scrum board, as you can see in this documentation:

Any issues not completed at the end of the sprint will be moved to the next planned sprint or backlog, as they did not meet the team's definition of "Done". If you do not have a next planned sprint, they will be returned to the backlog.

That been said, please check if your next Sprint is already planned when closing your active Sprint:

Additionally, the move option is not applicable to sub-task issues - Sub-tasks will always be where their parent issue is placed.

Let me know if this information helps, Sanjeev.
