Moving AD Groups

Guido Peter
February 10, 2013

Hello,

I have to move our Jira Groups to another OU. As soon as I move the groups, users cannot login. When I move them back, they can login again.

User Directory is pointing to the new ou structure and sync. is ok

I have also tried to modify ldap searchbase i osuer.xlm, with no success.

Can anybody tell me, where can I find this "fixed" group-information setting?

So...couple of things....users are tied to the user directory. I'm not sure that when you say "as soon as I move groups..." what you mean? Did you create a new user directory and move folks to it with the function in Jira, or did you just move it up and disable the old one? There could be a lot of things in play.

In fact, if you need to move them from an OU to another, is also important to change your filter on Jira so the users will be imported for the correct OU.

So please, check if the filters are set properly,

Hope it helps!
