Hello @Said Aliyev

Welcome to the community.

How do you indicate that a story is "finished"? Typically one would know a story is finished because it has been moved to Done already.

I am unclear why you would want to show the Move To Done button for a story that is already "finished".

First of all, thank you so much for your quick response to my question. Maybe I explained it wrong let me try to explain step by step

Lets say a story is being created, it is in progress status, subtasks are created inside it.

Let's say all the subtasks have been resolved, but the story is still not considered finished because he still hasn't passed the test. But since the subtasks are solved, "Move To Done" appears.

I want that when the story goes through all the stages, "Move To Done" appears and not when the subtasks are done.

I found the link that I posted on the Internet and it described the same thing that I needed, but I did not see a description of the solution there.

There is a comment on the issue you linked that says it was not working in Jira Cloud in 2017. I have actually just tried to implement this in Jira Cloud and found that it doesn't actually work.

If it did work you could implement this by having a separate workflow for your Story issue type than for your Sub-task issue type, and configuring that workflow in a way that blocks the transition of the Story to a Done status unless it is currently in the "test" status.

Unfortunately when I tried exactly that the Move to Done button was still displayed, even though the workflow would not allow the transition of the Story to Done.

Thank you very much, I understand, but what about Jira Server, it doesn't work there either?  I will be very grateful if you can help.

Hello @Said Aliyev

The tags on your post indicate you are using Jira Cloud, so my answer was relevant to Jira Cloud.

I don't have access to a Jira Server/Data Center instance, so I cannot test the functionality there.

The issue you referenced indicates it was fixed in v7.0.5 (which applies to Jira Server/DC since there are no version numbers for Jira Cloud). The change I suggested should work in Jira Server/DC 7.0.5 and newer.
