Hi!

Is it possible to do the following:

1) Creating an email notification for a team leader who has to make some kind decision based on the issue details.

2) The email should contain the needed issue details BUT also a possibility to make the decision right away. Maybe two buttons (Yes/No or Confirmed / Denied)

Is it possible to do something like this?
Or is it always necessary to access Jira (the issue) to modify the details like the status.

Thank you very much!
Greetings
Simon

Hi Simon

Interesting one. I have not done this on Jira Cloud but I did something similar in a previous job which was on Jira Server.

What I did -

A customised email was sent to certain person when some event happened. You could do this using Jira Automation.

The email contained something like 'If you approve, click <link>' and the link was a mailto link to send an email back to Jira and it was pre-populated with the appropriate directive (eg @workflow=Approve) and then processed by the Jira Mail Handler plugin
