Modify 'Similar Requests' NLP Compare Criteria?

My understanding is the Similar Requests function from the Feature Lab will compare Issue Summaries to find potential similar issues. Is there a way to adjust the search criteria for this function, perhaps just looking at part of the Summary string or comparing a field for like values in the Jira project?

Welcome to the community.

No this isn't adjustable, an algorithm specified by Atlassian is used.

If it where customizable, any update on your instance would overwrite this setting.
