My service desk is live and working but when I use the Mobility App it display to submit a request from the user perspective after selecting a specific request type and opening it it says "error: this request type has no fields". another useful information on my jira is that after adding apps like JSM mobile (branded) and Mobility I can never get past the "get started" page even when all the setup is done, I cant get to the configuration page for these apps. I have all permissions as admin.

That error usually means the request type isn’t mapped correctly to any fields in your project. In Jira Service Management you’ll need to check: Go to Project settings > Request types and confirm the request type you’re using is linked to the right issue type. Make sure the issue type’s screen has fields configured (Project settings > Screens). If no fields are added, the mobile app will show ‘this request type has no fields’. Re-publish the request type after adding fields. For the Mobility / JSM mobile app setup issue, try clearing app cache or reinstalling — sometimes the app gets stuck if the project isn’t published properly. Ensure your admin account has both Jira admin and Service Desk admin permissions, then retry setup. If the problem continues, test by creating a brand-new request type with one simple field (like summary) to confirm if the mobile app can render it. That will show if the issue is with configuration or the app itself.

"Most likely your request type isn’t linked to any fields. Check the project’s request type mapping and make sure the screen has fields configured, then re-publish. Also, clearing the mobile app cache or reinstalling can fix setup issues.

Hi @Web Developer ,

Welcome. If you are able to raise request through the desktop browser with no issues, you may want to reach out to the vendor directly - support@mobilitystream.com to trouble the app issue. There maybe a bug of some sort.

I personally use the Jira Cloud App and I don't have issues submitting tickets. It doesn't go through the portal. However, I can submit tickets on end-users behalf on the app with no issues.
