Hello,

After an upgrade of JIRA from 3.13 to 4.4 workflow actions are missing. All custom actions and even basic ones such as resolve case are no longer accessible. The workflow schemes still exist and are assigned to the project as expected after the upgrade.

The upgrade was perfomed by doing a new linux standalone install followed by restore from XML backup with full re-indexing done.

What might I be missing here? Do I need to do sequential upgrade to 4.0 first before I can upgrade to 4.4?

Thanks for any suggestions.

A few suggestions to try:

  • I recall there were some database schema changes between 3.13 and 4.0 - have you checked the upgrade instructions for each version and performed the necessary steps for each version?
  • Did you use any plugins for workflow transitions that you may have missed when upgrading?
  • Are there any errors in the logs?
  • Have you run the Database Integrity Checker?
