Missing Timeline option on top left corner.

I am using Top Level Planning template. When I tested this template I could see Timeline on the top left corner above Board. I create another project using the same template however I don't see the Timeline on top left corner anymore. Why is this happening and how can I fix it.

When you say you were using the "Top-level Planning" template to create your project, were you referring to this?
I have checked in a Free subscription and a Standard subscription, and in both cases that template indicates it can be used only with a Premium subscription. But the tags in your post indicate you are using a Standard subscription. Are you actually using a premium subscription?
Can you provide a screen image of the other project where you used the Top Level Planning template, showing the presence of Timeline in the panel on the left?
We are on free tial of Jira Premium version. Below is the screen shot of another project created using the same template in your response above.
