I would like to migrate an old JIRA instance on our servers to JIRA Software cloud. However, I cannot use the migration assistant because I am running version 7.01 of JIRA. As far as I understand, I would need to resume the subscription for the on-premise software (but want to move to the cloud).

How do I solve this?

You will need to upgrade to a version that the migration assistant works for, or use an export/import via CSV which will lose you a lot of data.
