Hi,

I have added an Active Directory user directory and followed the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/migrating-users-between-user-directories-861253207.html but "migrate users from one directory to another" is not an option under "Additional Configuration & Troubleshooting", the only option is "Directory Configuration Summary".

I have to say that, in the screenshot on that page, it shows "Active Directory (Connector)" and "Active Directory (Delegation)", but those are not options when I add a user directory, "Active Directory server" is though.

This is Jira software v8.2.1.

I wish I could send a screenshot.

This is not so obvious, but here is how directories work in Jira.  When you have two directories where identical usernames exist in both, the directory that is highest in the order of Directories is used (ie: Jira starts at the top directory and moves down if it doesn't find the user.) Assuming your usernames are identical in both directories, all you need to do is add the new AD directory and move it above the Internal Directory in order to make the users in Jira AD users.  If the usernames are not identical, I suggest making them identical first, then adding the new Directory.

Obviously, do this in a development instance first, identify a repeatable method, then do it in production.
