Today I created a backup of Jira Cloud (Backup for Server). The generated zip-file is placed on the new Jira Server at C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Jira\import as instructed.

I want to import a specific project from the backup-file.

When clicking 'Next' after inputting the zip filename I get an error message:

Der var et problem med at fortolke den sikkerhedskopierede XML-fil på C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Jira\import\jira-export.zip: No 'key' field for Issue 19454.

Translates to:

There was a problem interpreting the backup XML-file: No 'key' field for issue 19454.

Why is it a problem to interpret the generated backup-file?

Import runs on Jira v8.13.4.

@Peter M_ Kruse You have encountered this issue when trying to import project in jira server with backup created from cloud instance (though it is backup for server)

Workaround as mentioned in the linked ticket is as below:

1. restore cloud backup in JIRA server (say server A)

2. create new backup from jira server A

3. Use backup created in step 2 and import desired projects in target/final JIRA server

You can find detailed workaround link in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-66788

@Suvarna Gaikwad I'm still having troubles. I can't restore from the backup-file - it requires a SEN. I have tried Cloud SEN and Server SEN - result: This license is invalid!

I think I need to add the SEN when creating a backup (and I have to wait for many hours before I can try again). I haven't added SEN in the backup-step before - do I need the SEN for the new server?
