When migrating issues from one Jira Cloud instance to another Jira Cloud instance, the attachments are not coming over with the issues. I believe an API Token is needed, however, the documentation on this is somewhat vague: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/
Does anyone one a clear and easy to follow tutorial on how to add an API Token so that attachments get carried over during an issues migration?
Thanks.
Hi @Foxcliffe Hickory ,
You should be able to move the attachments too. This articles describe the procedure:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/export-issues/
@Carlos Garcia NavarroApologies, I forgot to mention the migration was only for CSV file, not complete instance backup or migration. I'm sure it's easy when doing a complete system restore, but when just moving one project with multiple issues and attachments, it doesn't work automatically. There is mention of using an API Token to get the attachments over.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi @Foxcliffe Hickory , did you follow the steps to create the API token ( as described in the article you referred- https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/)?
You'll need that API token to include it in the csv that you're using to import the issues.
This other article has an example or how to use the API token that you've generated:
