Has anyone found a way to move existing Jira users from an openLDAP directory to a Jira Internal directory, ensuring that they are still aligned to their projects and tasks etc?
We have had a company split so we are migrating selected Jira and Bitbucket data to a new environment, and migrating a selection of users who are now in the new company. Some of the users are defined in the Jira Internal directory and they seem to migrate by default with the Jira data restore. But of course the openLDAP users don't.
Our only option at the moment is to export the openLDAP schema, data, and config to the new company but it is a bit messy and proving a bit problematic (the company we are splitting from don't want us to take their certs and whole directory with us).
Any ideas welcomed!
