Measuring BAU vs Feature Work (Time taken to resolve)

Hey All,

We've had a steer from our business to say we want our engineers to spend 25% on BAU engineering improvement work and 75% of their time on feature delivery.

I've got a bucket BAU epic that i'm wanting to capture all the tickets in there and measure the total time taken to resolve and plot that against all tickets not in that BAU epic also with time taken to resolve. 

Wanting to plot that in a rolling pie chart which will just take into account the last 30 days or so results so i can show the business we are meeting their expectations.

We're running JIRA cloud but quite a vanilla version minus any plugins.

Does anyone have any tips on how i could do this, or if there is a better way of measuring our BAU work vs Product work.

Note - (We can't use number of tickets because generally our Feature tickets are much larger in size than our BAU tickets and therefore a simple count, wouldn't be effective.
