Maximum limit of Tasks in an Epic

I am working in a project where Epic>Task hierarchy is being followed, no Stories, Epic level is used as a kind of Backlog for a group of items.
Does JIRA put a maximum limit on number of Tasks in an epic or infinite number of tasks are allowed ?

I don't think there is a limit to the number of child issues for an Epic, but there may be limits elsewhere that could impact your searching or display capabilities, such as the one documented here:
