Marking JIRA projects as done because there is no other option.

Hi, Often times at my company I see users of JiRA marking projects as done even if they are not done because there are no other options that look correct.  For example we have an engineer that just marked a project as DONE and moved to backlog. The project is not done. Rather, we could not proceed due to change-control restrictions.

Can you suggest a better way to handle it in JIRA?

Thanks,

Dom

Hi @Dominick Bakhtiar ,

Welcome to the community.

What do you mean with marking a project as done. Are you talking of issues?

And is done the status or resolution?

Hi @Dominick Bakhtiar

we usually add an ‘On Hold’ status to our boards to account for issues that can’t be progressed.
