Managing same requirements for iOS and Android

I work with a mobile development team where we are developing a software for multiple operating systems including iOS & Android.

Majority of our product requirements are mutual for all supported platforms and our team copy and paste these requirements and details about their scope between multiple custom JIRA tasks for their designated platform.

I find this method prone to human errors where in case of a small input or correction; multiple sources of information has to be edited.

What JIRA experts think of this? Would you copy and paste chunks of information around in JIRA?
